We are able to retrofit Variable Speed Drives in all types of air compressors to reduce electrical running costs. Our range includes everything from medium-sized compressors for professional use to large machines designed for heavy industrial applications. Additionally, we offer pressure testing services for all separator tanks and pressure vessels. As a primary distributor for the Detroit Air Compressor brand, we also supply other leading brands to meet our clients’ diverse needs.

Founded in 2006, Absolute Compressors is led by Johan Frederick Pretorius, our Managing Director. With a background as a qualified electrician and fitter, Johan has hands-on experience as a field service technician and has held supervisory and management positions at prominent companies listed on the JSE. Driven by his technical expertise and business acumen, Johan pursued his entrepreneurial vision and established Absolute Compressors. He is dedicated to training the next generation of industry professionals.
Our team comprises skilled Field Service Technicians, Assistant Technicians, a Workshop Coordinator and assistants, Internal Sales Representatives, an Accounts Manager, an Operations Manager, a Store Clerk, a Receptionist and a Cleaner. Detroit Air has an excellent warranty in place for all new screw compressors sold after January 2018. Factory defects are covered on the air-end and motor for a period of 5 years and two years on pressure and temperature sensors, PLC, fan, after-cooler and VSD drives.
We do offer a limited good-will warranty for items that fail just outside of warranty, our goal is to ensure a no-fuss support of your Detroit Air compressor.
